SUMMARY:April 24th Club Meeting: Gary Lanman, Northern Flyer Alliance
DESCRIPTION:Our speaker April 24th will be Gary Lanman.  Gary has represented Oklahoma in the Rail Passengers Association for over 10 years and the Vice President of the Northern Flyer Alliance for over 12 years.  He will bring us up to date on Amtrak’s Heartland Flyer service to Ft Worth as well as the efforts that are underway to extend the passenger service to Newton, Kansas to connect with the major east-west route of the Southwest Chief.   Gary was born in western Oklahoma and attended school in Fairview before going to college at Oklahoma State University. After a stint of five years in the Navy, he worked for Baltimore Gas and Electric and Texas Instruments. He then worked in the oil patch at Conoco and Continental Resources. Most of his career was spent in computer education and IT, including his final job in computer support at the OSU Library.\n
